**The CCHD currently offers the Moderna vaccine which has been approved for those 18 years and older. |
In order to be eligible for the vaccine from the Christian County Health Department you must meet the following criteria:
1. A resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky able to demonstrate residency consistent with the requirements of KRS 186.010(12), or 2. Must fall within the appropriate phase. **If you schedule an appointment and do not meet the criteria above, your appointment may be cancelled without notice. 2nd Dose AppointmentsWe offer Moderna (learn more about Moderna) vaccines, which is a 2-part vaccine. If you are returning for your 2nd dose, please remember to bring your Vaccination Record Card that you received during your first appointment.

We realize there are some in the community who do not have internet access and do not have the option to schedule their appointment online. Latest Updates & Changes:Monday, March 22, 2021 - CCHD is now offering vaccines for those in Phase 1A, 1B, and 1C, as well as those 50+.
Monday, March 15, 2021 - The CDC has released additional underlying health conditions that may qualify you for Phase 1C for the COVID-19 vaccine. Click HERE for details. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 - The Christian County Health Department is now vaccinating all those who fall into Phase 1C: Anyone 60 years or older, anyone age 18 or older with CDC highest risk C19 risk conditions, and all essential workers. Essential workers please come prepared to provide proof of eligibility. Monday, March 1, 2021 - There will no longer be COVID-19 testing at Tie Breaker Park. We will be providing testing at the health department on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 am-11:00 am by appointment only. Please call 270-887-4160 ext. 133 if you would like a COVID-19 test. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 – Due to increased appointment availability, the Christian County Health Department is now opening vaccine appointment slots to those ages 60+. Again, appointments are ONLY for those 60+. Appointments will not be opened for other categories in phase 1C until a later date. Please remember that we are still offering drive through COVID-19 testing at Tie Breaker Park today from 9:00 AM-10:45 AM. Monday, February 22, 2021 We will be scheduling vaccine appointments this week for those who fall into phase 1B (70+). Please click the green button above to schedule your appointment, or call 270-887-4160 ext. 640. Thursday, February 18th, 10:00 AM Due to hazardous road conditions, the CCHD will be closed today. The vaccine clinic at the Bruce Convention Center will be opening from 11:30-3:30. If you were scheduled to come before 11:30, feel free to come anytime between 11:30 and 3:30. If you do not feel comfortable coming today, you can make up your appointment tomorrow or on Tuesday. You do not have to reschedule your appointment to show up either of those days. Again, please be safe if you are traveling in for your vaccine appointment. Snow and ice are still covering roads in many parts of the county and can cause hazardous driving conditions Wednesday, February 17th, 2:35 PM Because of potential hazardous weather, the vaccine clinic on Thursday, February 18th, will now open at 9:30 AM. If your appointment was scheduled before 9:30 AM, please come anytime between 9:30 AM-12:00 PM or 1:00 PM-3:00 PM. We will be closed from 12pm-1pm for lunch. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you are unable to make your appointment, you will have an opportunity to reschedule. If weather becomes increasingly hazardous, we will notify the community around 7:30 AM of any schedule changes. We would also like to remind the community that Phase 1C is not yet open, but is expected to open within the next couple of weeks. Please stay tuned for additional updates. Wednesday, February 17th, 10:00 AM The CCHD will host the vaccine clinic at 9:30 AM at the Bruce Convention Center. If your scheduled appointment was before 9:30 AM, feel free to come any time between the hours of 9:30 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM. If you were scheduled for an appointment last Thursday, and have not yet been able to reschedule your appointment, feel free to come anytime during the day to get your vaccine. If you cannot make it to your appointment, please understand that you have 28-42 days after your first dose to receive your 2nd dose of vaccine. The health department will work with individuals to get their appointments scheduled within that time frame. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 - 9:15 AM The Christian County Health Department, as well as the Bruce Convention Center Vaccine clinic, will be closed today. All Tuesday appointments have been rescheduled for Friday, February 19th at the same appointment time. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 - 4:00 PM Due to impending weather, if you had an appointment scheduled for Thursday, February 11th, please come on Tuesday, February 16th at the same time your original appointment was scheduled. We are working to get everyone vaccinated as quickly as possible. Click the link above to check for appointment availability. We are only vaccinating those who fall into phase 1a or 1b. Monday, February 1, 2021 - 3:00 PM - 1st Dose Appointments: Appointment slots for first dose vaccines are currently full. New appointment slots for first dose vaccines will be available again on Monday, February 15th. 2nd Dose Appointments: If you have already received your first dose of the vaccine, you will receive a notification to schedule your 2nd dose appointment via phone, text, or email on the Friday before your 2nd dose is due. At that time you will be able to schedule your appointment online through the link provided or by calling 270-887-4160 ext. 640. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR VACCINE CARD THAT YOU RECEIVED DURING YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT. Monday, February 1, 2021 - 8:00 AM - The Christian County Health Department is now taking appointments for the COVID-19 Vaccine.
